Because life isn't only about painting...

...it's also boardgames and wargames. Last weekend we had a little meeting with some of our TBB squad and one none TBB (but still a nice guy) friend :D (that would be Jacob- cheers man!). We met to play some games, drink beer and have fun. Everything went according to our plans:) We even thought about our dear
readers! Redav made a step by step tutorial on how to paint tractor!

Czys (left) and Redav (right) and his "oh, stop it you" face :D

there goes the tutorial!!

 1. make some weird Redav-like face and prepare your painting device.

2. Start painting the ground with a big square thingy.

 3. With the round thing paint the wheels. Be careful here, you will need some real precision here as you dont won't to end up with some potato shaped wheels.

4.Paint a basic shape of your tractor. No details here, just a basic concept.

 5. Now the hard part. OSL, paint your lights and carefully highlight every area nearby the source light.

6. Details. This is extremely important part. Many people while painting their tractors seem to forget about it and end up with some unrealistic results.

 7. Paint a mushroom shaped pipe on the front size of your truck. Now its done!!

I also did a quick freehand.
 and another!

An awesome dinosaur attacking Jacob!

 Luk arrives.
Let us begin the nerdy stuff.
First an Arkham game. Really awesome game in Cthulhu universe:)

 Sth terrible happened!:o
 sup
 Mold lines. Mold lines everywhere

Best part of the evening. Spilled some drink on Redav. Totally worth it.

That would be all. We had some great time. Definitely will do that again!

cheers!

Gimiak's 'Ork and Grot' recipe

Hi. Long story short. Last time I've painted an Ork it was a year around 2003/2004. I have only one pic from that period - one of my first painted models. With Kommandos Nob I've an idea that Ork skin should be a blending from browns to greens. With this model I've achieved anticipated goal. I can only hope that next models will be painted better and better. As promised, please find attached a complete list of paints used on this model. All came from GW's paint range (current and former). If you look closly at every element there is a base paint, paints used for shadows and hi-lights.

The White Wolf

Hi all!

One of the miniatures I did some time ago but somehow haven't posted anywhere. The miniature is from Andrea Miniature. Beautiful sculpt of one of my favorite novel character- Geralt of Rivia- The White wolf, from the Witcher series by Andrzej Sapkowski:) Had a lot of fun painting this guy.
It won Bronze in large model Category on Hussar 2013.
What do you think about it?

cheers!

Black Legion Chosen WIP 1.0

Hi,

After finishing Fulgrim I began painting a Chaos Space marine model I have bought some time ago. I have a bigger project in mind and I wanted to practice some new ideas on this model. I wanted his armor to have a some king of demonic shine and I'm practicing some OSL on this miniature. By now I have much work to do on this model but the largest surfaces are almost done. Some parts of the golden NMM need some correcting and I will blend them to be smooth because yesterday I was painting till late night and my eyes ware tiered. So here you have some photos of this project :D.

In near future I will paint some other Chaos Space Marine models so stay tuned. Feel free to comment and tell me if you like my progress on this miniature.

Christmas monster

Hi!
For the last 2 months I had my hand broken. That meant no painting for me. Yesterday the plaster was removed from my hand and I am a free man again. But during my treatment I met with some of my painting friends and we decided that we would paint for a while. So with a plaster on my right hand I managed to finish one simple project:)

The bulb is for sale. On eBay;)
Below you can see the final effect

cheers!

Fulgrim Commission - finish :D

Hi,

If you remember my last post this was Loler's project but he could not finish him and I was helping him with my painting skills. I have painted the whole scenic base for FW Fulgrim and now I can show you some photos. It took me a while but I'm happy with the final result. I have learned many things on this project and I encourage you to paint this model because it is a challenge. If you wondering I deliberately painted those Emperors Children Marines on the base in a darker way because I wanted to focus the spectator eye on Fulgrim himself.

And some better photos without the base.

I hope you like this project and any comments are welcome as always.

Best Regards,
RED
