After many hours of painting I've finally finished my second dreadnought with few weapon options. My next mission is to finish starter around one year ago drop pod and backpacks for my sternguar veterans.

Blood Angels Dreadnought - few wip pics and plans ffor 2012

Hi,

It's been a while since I've posted anything. Today you may look at my still in progres Blood Angels dreadnought. I'm actually working on three different weapon arms (right). When this proces will be finished I'll add blood drops here and there. This model is actually my next-to-last model, which I've planned to paint in this year. The last one is the drop pod's top plates and engine. But looking at the time frame my last projects provision will extend to the beginning of 2012. As for the next year, and after finishing above mentioned models, I'll continue to expand my Blood Angels army right after Dwarf Gargin Ironfist and Dreadfleet models. And I think the last on will consume a lot of my free time. Game itsels is great, but playing with grey ships ruin the whole thig. ;)

Back from a long painting brake - finished Lelith Hesperax

Hi,

It was a long time since my last post but now I'm back. I had some difficulties with finding time to paint and some problems with inspiration but now its better and my projects will see some progress.

I wanted to show you the finished Lelith Hesperax model. I painted her for the polish Hussar 2011 competition but there ware so many better paint jobs and she wasn't so good, so better luck next year (and by luck i mean much more work to beat those fantastic painters).

So tell me how do you like this model.

Master of Imagination!

Last weekend We were in Lublin, Poland at Master of Imagination competiotion. And it was awesome! What is always the best in those events is that I could see and talk to all those great people again (and meet some new:) .

Apart from painting competition we could all spend some time... painting together!:) cool experience, for example Slawol showed me his methods for making blood! thanks mate:)
Some of the painters (including me) were doing some lessons. And there was speed painting competiotion:) And lots more great atractians:)

Hi,

It's been a loong time since my last post, unfortunately due to some health issues I wasn't able post anything. In time of net silance I was hard working on two models - fifth Sternguard Veteran and Gabriel Seth. Both models are for my Blood Angels army. So far I didn't finished backpacks for my vets, but I'll do it in near future. As for the current projects, I have a plan to finish my last two open projects - fifth Drop Pod and a BA Dreadnought. Looking ath my work schedule I'll finish this projects around middle of December. My next project will be Garagrim Ironfist from the Dwarfs range.

One from the coolest dwarf models. As for the BA models, I was experimenting with red. This time I didn't used airbrush for the red. Yep, that's it. Till next time.

Hussar 2011!

Hello there:)
Last weekend me and REDAV went to Warsaw to take part in Hussar 2011 (biggest polish competition). Lovely event:) it was great to meet all the painters again, talk about miniatures and other not related stuff:)

As for the competition, there were lots of beautiful miniatures, painted by great painters such as Ańa, Mahoń, Camelson, Flameon, C'tan, Sławol, Karol Rudyk, mr. Denial, Kacpero, Ignis and Rakso and many, many more, all willing to win. The trophies were Hussarettes (picture below) but the main award was sponsored by CoolMiniOrNot and it was a return ticket to Chicago for next year's Crystal Brush competition.

Hussar wasn't only a competition. There were other atractions:)
the first were sculpting classes Robert Kurek (sculptor of the Hussarettes). Great fun, I made a bust and Robert said it was great!:) I'll post the bust pics later:)

Then there was a speed painting competition organised by Warsaw Team. Last year it was great. This year, even better! We all had to paint high elf spearman within 45 minutes. But to make it more interesting we had 2 paints... then, after 8 minutes those paints were changed for some other, random colors. Then again, and again...;) I really liked it, and I was lucky enough to win second place:)

Next atraction was giving free gifts to random paricipants:) After that we were all waintg for the final verdict. I was extremely happy when I heard that I got bronze in Diorama and gold in Single SF!
And the winner of Grand Prinx and flight to Crystal Brush 2012 was Flameon. Congratulations mate:)

Then was an after party:) we all had some more time to talk in a company of refreshing and cold beer (REDAV couldn't drink, he was driving a car :D)

Hi,

I didn't post anything for some time, I was busy painting lizardmen. Mainly for the Hussar painting contest... Unfortunatelly my motivation drop down when I receive a massage last week that on 22nd October I've to go to work. After that massage I've decided to continue painting my models to the TT standards. Below are my effords.

When the Scar Veteran will be finished I'll continue my works on the Blood Angels. As for the future plans, till December I'll work on my four open projects for BA army. On the last month of this Year I'll assamble and paint Dreadfleet.

Lelith Hesperax - late WIP

Hi,

It was a long time that I posted something here. I started to paint that Kaldor Dragio model that I mentioned earlier but during painting I didn't have the strength to paint that model and maybe its because some time ago I painted 5 Grey Knight Terminators. I wanted to paint a good sculpt and I have chosen the new Lelith Hesperax model. I like this model because she is dynamic and has nice details and also is a part of my Dark Eldar army.

I wanted her to have some oldschool colors because I started playing Dark Eldar when they ware red and not so dark as now. Here you have some photos of how she looks like now.

The is lots of work to do and I must fix some things, model and paint the base.

When I saw this model from GW i knew I got to paint it. I made a brake from my Hussar competition project and started to paint this fella. I wanted him to be ugly and rusty so I experimented with dry pigments and some gloss varnish. As for the effect you can see for yourself.

So I hope you like him. And now back to my Kaldor Draigo model.

Skink Priest and Contemptor Dreadnought pics

Hi,

Two days ago I've starded painting a Skink Priest, one of many lizardmen miniatures which I've in my collection. Long, long time ago I've painted this little guy:

I've used different tones to give my skinks new look. So far I've painted only one, but within Skink Chief I had an opportunity to try something new. After around two years I've came back to lizardmen. Achieving the same painting scheme was a little challenge for me but more or less I've done it. Below you can view few pics of an early wip Skink Priest. Metal skinks look nice IMHO. I've got few of them. One of my challenges was feather cloak. I wanted to keep the purple tones around it. On Monday I'll put a better pictures so you could see why I mention purples.

Next project will be Slann. So far I haven't done much, I've switch wooden plinth instead of plastic transparent stick added to the box. I've got some sketches with ideas how to change this monument into a lizardmen stylised element.

And finally I'm including my Contemptor Dreadnought pics. If you want to look at details, please check this picture. Contemptor is right now on ebay, so if you're interessted please check this auction.

Hello,

As mention before I post some of my (almost)finished Contemptor Pattern Dreadnought. I've made these pictures and find few elements which I've to correct today. From the open projects (brush touched) I still have one Drop Pod, a regular Dreadnought and a Sternguard Vet with combi melta. Hi there,

It's been a while since my last post. I was busy clearing and assembling Blood Angels and Tyranids units. Yesterday I manage my time and paint Contemptor Dreadnought further.

So far arms are nearly finished. I'll came back to them when I finish dreadnought's body. As you can see there are no battle damages so far, a very unusuall measure for my work. There are only few sratches. The rest will be applied at the very end.

Due to this years Hussar painting contest I've to speed up my painting a little bit if I want to enter with 'something'. This something will be a Blood Angels diorama. More of this in near future.

It has been some time that I posted some progress with my painting. I finished this model but It was a difficult task. My conception for this model has changed few times during the painting process and it was difficult to choose the right colors for some elements on him. I hope I succeeded with this task and he looks ok.

Contempor Dreadnought review

Hi,

Last week I've received Contemptor Pattern Dreadnought from Forge World. First of all I'm very satisfied with the resin quality. After some bad experience with former models this model have only few small form displaccements. I must admit that he's a big cookie. I've ordered two models, first will go to ebay soon after Urien. Second one will be painted for my BA army. With the last one for me I'll change storm bolter for melta and maybe work on Blood Talons from current Furioso Dreadnought kit.

What is the best about this model beside fancy look? It's great to have opportunity to give legs new pose!

Urien Rakarth painting log - part three

My third post with Urien. I was experiment a little bit with some of his clothes (again). Few elements and this little guy will be finished. I still don't have a bloddy idea how to paint his venom blade, so probably this will be my last painted element. Sorry for dark pictures but Today morning my camera's flash batteries say no to me.

Ps2: Beside painting models I'm working on tyranids (again). It seems that first love (actually army) doesn't rust. So far I've cleaned some Zoanthropes, Hive Guards, Hive Tyrant, Trygon and Raveners. I know that current army is weak comparing to other armies, but I want to play them anyway.

Urien Rakarth painting log - part two

Hi,

Yesterday I couldn't stop myself painting Urien. I know I should turn my attention to dreadnought but last painting was so enjoyable that I knew I'll finish this guy earlier.

So far I've painted tabard and almost all of the silver elements. Today will be my third attempt on painting venom blade. I'm not and wasn't satisfied with former and current painting. Tabard was painted with Tallarn Flesh foundation paint, shaded with Green and leviatan washes, highlighted with Fortress Grey, Bleached Bone and Skull White.

Today I'll correct blade and work on Urien's skin. Ill stay within purple - grey palette.

Demonic painting - Demon Prince WIP

Hi,

I bought this model a year ago as a part of my Warriors of Chaos army. I wanted to paint him because I liked this model very much but I haven't had time to start working on him but now is the time to do it.

I decided that I will paint him in non standard colors as I wanted him to be a undivided demon so he could be used in different armies. The skin was painted with a mix of camo green, valejjo heavy purple and belched bone. This mix resulted in a yellow gold like skin as you can see.

Tomorrow I will start to paint other details so he will gain some other colors.

Urien Rakarth painting log - part one

Hello,

As planned before, yestarday I've started to paint Urien Rakarth. So far I'ce done only coat... or more likely dress. Rather to go in purples I've decided to go in leather direction. Snakebite Leather paint was used as a base for his dress. I paint shadows with mixture od Snakebite and Asurmen Blue wash. Then I've applied watered down Liche Purple paint in some areas.

Watered down Snakebite and Skull White mixture was applied as highlight. Top highlight I've achieved using Skull White paint.

Overall I'm satisfied with choosen colors. I've to make some corrections on the Urien's front side. So next time I'll start with it and then paint his chest bony armour.

Dreadnought painting log - part one

Hi,

As mention before this week I'll paint two models at once. Yestarday I have paint a little bit my regular BA Dreadnought. As a base I've choosen Mechrite Red. Then Scab Red was applied on the whole machine. Next, using an airbrush I've paint from above Blood Red paint, Skull White paint and on the end again Blood Red. I'm not in 100% happy about end result, but I'll paint it till end like this.

Next step is shading. I've choosen to make a watered dawn mixture of Scab Red and Regal Blue. Generally it looks fine, but in some areas I'll have to make some corrections. I didn't attach all of the parts but I'm going to paint almost all available weapon options for my dreadnought. So it will take a little bit (hopefully two or three days) to finish shading the whole model's armour. Next I'll make highlights and this will be made around weekend.

So far you've seen very boring pics. Today I'll start with Urien, so expect more interessting pics tomorrow.

This weekend I've been busy painting Nork. First three shoots from Fridays night session and four of the Yesterdays painting. Today I'll finish this guy's base. As for the painting:
- leather - from mixture of Chaos Black and Scorched Brown (1:1) till Bleached Bone
- t-shirt - from Vermin Brown, glazed with watered down Leviatan Purple a Catachan Green paint, till Bleached Bone
- skin - Tallarn Flesh, glazed with watered down Leviatan Purple Wash, Asurmen Blue Wash, Dark Flesh paint, through Tallarn Flesh, Fortress Grey and Bleached Bone mixture, till Bleached Bone.
- trousers - Catachan Green, glazed with Catachan Green and Liche Purple mixture, thru Camo Green, till Bleached Bone.

Yep, that's it.

After painting I'll put him on ebay. Hopefully someone purchase him for his or her collection.

Hi,

I recently manager to finish my Grey Knight Paladin Squad. It took my a long time to finish them and I must say that those models are very detailed and there is much to paint on them. I wanted them to have non standard colors and so they look like they just left their battle barge and are ready to fight. So take a look at them and say how do you see the end result.

I painted house models with a intention to sell them on Ebay so if you are interested take a look at our Ebay profile.

The next project is a Demon Prince and I will post some WIP photos as soon as I will have something to show.

Nork Deddog - first wip pics

Hi,

On the beginning quick note - DC Dread is finally finished. Last shots of this furious war machine. I know that I could paint it further but for the gaming purposes it really fine for me. ;)

As for the ogre Nork Deddog, this week I've started painting this oldtimer. So far only right hand with gun is almost finished. I've to work harder on the skin. As for the rest of the miniature, as you can see on the attached pictures only few elements are finished. I'll publish more pictures after upcoming weekend.

Wooden plinths

Hello,

This week I've made a small update in my shop adding wooden plinths of different shapes and sizes. So far my shop doesn't allow people from outside of Poland to make purchases, but in around two weeks I'll open a new online shop, which will be open for customers from the whole world.

If you're interessted you can order them via mail (michal.gmitrasiuk @gmail.com). The prices for these cute plinths aren't high, depending on shape prices are in range from 4,4$ (30mm) to 7$ (70mm). Written diameters are for the base located on the top of plinth. There is also an option to order a huge plinth for a squad, but the price starts from 12$.

Death Company Dreadnought wip - part 5

So my DC dread is almost finished. I still have to give some rust effects on all silver elements on Magna Grapple and arm hydraulics plus some small OSL lightning. Beside that my first, lets call it first, dreadnought for BA army is finished. Next on the painting table will be Nork Deddog. After that I'm going back to painting something from Blood Angels arsenal.

Death Company Dreadnought wip - part 4

Hi there,

Within this week I've find some time for painting my DC Dreadnought. It's going slowly forward. I've decided to try different Purity Seals pattern on this model. GW's Jade Green paint was used as a base. Seals are not finished yet, but the color so far suits me well. Today I'll work on this model for couple of hours, so expect some wip pictures in near future. I'm preaty sure that on Friday night I'll finish painting my dreadnought. That will be good because I really wanted to start something different and new in next week. So there will be race against the time - 7 days for my lazy ogryn painting. ;)

I need at least two DC Dreadnoughts for my army project, but next DC dread will have to wait a month or two. I still have to paint a regular dreadnought and Sternguards.

Death Cult Assassins

Hello,

Grey Knights army got many interessting units to hire from the new codex. One of them are Death Culs Assassins from Inquisitorial Henchmen Warband. With two power weapons, four attack on charge with initiative and weapon skill 5 there are a one good killing unit. If you add Inquisitor with rad and psychotroke granades and Hammerhand and up to four Crusader the unit becomes very effective. But there is a hidden hint behind it... GW have relases only 2 design, in fact only one is legal (the one with two weapons). Two models in one blister for around 9GBP is IMHO an expensive option if you would like to hire them in your army...

Alternativly you can purchase Dark Eldar Wyches and buy additional right arms with blades to create a very nice looking and cheap Death Cult Assassin unit. Additional army could be taken from DE Venom, DE Raider and DE Revenger. Below you can see how does this unit could look like.

Maybe you got other ideas how to build Death Cult Assaissins. It will be nice if you could share some ideas. ;)

I have been working on those models for some time but I hope to finish them soon. Here you can see what progress I have made from my last post.

Now I need to paint some inscriptions on scrolls and books, finish the apothecary's gauntlet, paint some freehands on shoulder pads and on Justicars scarf and I need to paint the banner. So as you can see there is still much to do.

Hi,

More than one month ago I've started painting DC Dreadnought for my Blood Angels army. Due to some time problems and GK Terminator competition I was forced to pull this big guy aside. This Friday I've finally find some time to start painting my models. Using the same method which I've used on Space Wolf Guard Terminator some time ago I'ce applied rust effect one the whole model. As for black areas, the whole model was painted with 1:1 Chaos Black and Regal Blue mixture. Edges were highlighted with Codex Grey.

I've to repaint skull, because the effect isn't what I wanted to achieve. If you would like to see further progress, chech our blog on Tuesday for further wip shots.

Completed Blood Angels army build 1.0

Hi,

I'm back from the Warp to give you some news. From the beginning of the next month I'll be able to spend more time on hobby, especially on painting miniatures. I'm in a process of painting Death Company Dreadnought, so expect some wip pictures.

Painting an army isn't an easy task. You have to have strong will to continue painting the same army for months... My army project (v1.0) took me 20 months and the whole thing has around 2400 points. Of course this isn't over, I'll still work and paint new models for my army to expand it even further. As mention before, next model on the painting plate is Death Company Dreadnought.

If you have any questions and/or comments, feel free to leave them below.

Ps: In a near future I'll write a little bit about Finecast.

Some thoughts on Finecast and a progress photo of my Paladins.

Hi,

At last I got my hands on some Finecast models and confront them with that what I heave read about them for past weeks. The first thing I noticed is that the material is light but it feels like rubber and this isn’t good. I showed them to my wife and she told me that it looks like cheap action figure for a kid :P. The good part in those models have better details and this is a good thing but there are many bubbles that you need to fill. Overall I am not impressed but I hope they will work on quality control and then those models will be ok.

As for my terminators I finished golden NMM parts and tomorrow I will paint some red elements.

I hope to finish them soon so stay tuned for more.

P.S.

Loler told me that he will post some progress with his Harlequins this Monday :D.

GK Paladin Squad - working on golden NMM

Today I painted golden NMM on 2 terminators and here you can see how it looks like on one of them.

Golden NMM was made the same colors I used for my Sanguinor but I started from Charadon Granite as base.

Hello,

Last month I had a painting brake and I didn't have time to paint and post something. I managed to finish renovating my kitchen and now I have some time to paint those terminators. I wanted to say you that painting five terminators using NMM takes so much time that I wont do it again hehe. Here you have some photos to see how they present themselves now.

I started the forth terminator and at this stage I managed to finish his legs. I hop to finish those silver NMM's by the end of the week and then I will paint some gold.

dark eldar harlequins- first wip

Here are some first wip pics of a dark eldar harlequin unit I'm working on right now. There will be 6 of those guys (with troupe master).
I wanted them to look darker that what other people do with their harlequins. There won't be so many bright colors or symbols as for example on GW version. I'll try to use mostly purples and blues.what do you think about them?

Grey Knights Chapter Master painting tutorial (step by step) - part four

Hi,

Well sorry for delay in my tutorial, but I was unable to find time to paint anything. Due to some problems I've lost pictures from my digi camera. What you see below it's the final prepared model.

Painting tabard
I had three attempts on painting tabard. Below you can see the very last version. I've started with Liche Purple which was shaded with Liche Purple mixed with Chaos Black 3:1. Tabard was highlighted with Warlock Purple, Warlock Purple and Bleached Bone mixture.

Painting power weapon
It was unusuall for me to paint PW in this way. So far I've painted it with regular metallics. This time I've wanted to try something new. Chaos Black and Regal Blue was choosen as a shade, Regal Blue as a base and Ice Blue as the final highlight on the blade. Thin layer of Skull White was applied on the very edges. I know it isn't perfect, but you have to give me a credit - it was my PW ever. ;)

Well, nothing special at all but my small tutorial is finally finished. Hopefully it will not be my last entry on our blog in this month. But looking at my job tasks my painting and hobby time looks very short. Life... such a beautiful thing... ;)

Grey Knights Chapter Master painting tutorial (step by step) - part three

Hello world,

It's time for the third part of my small Grey Knight painting tutorial. Today I wanted to focus on all red elements. After seeing Redavs GK terminator I've decided to go in that color direction with small modifications. I've started with a basecoat of a little bit watered down Mechrite Red foundation paint.

To the base color I've added Regal Blue paint and watered down the mixture. Diligently using glaze technique I've applied my color mixture to shade all red elements.

When the shading process was completed I've started with highlighning. Middle color - Mechrite Red - was galzed with few layers of watered down Blood Red paint. Edges were painted with Blood Red and Skull White (4:1) mixture. The last coat on the very edges were painted with a 1:1 mixture of a Blood Red and Skull White.

Inner section of the Inquisition cross was painted with Scab Red as a base, Blood Red as a middle color and Blazing Orange as a highlight. Using a Fine Detail Brush I've put white strokes inside Inq cross and glaze them with Blood Red.

Yep, now it's started to looking nicer. Tomorrow I'll focus on tabard and purity seals and wires around helmet. If you got any questions, don't hesitate to write them below in comment section.See you tomorrow then around 10 a.m.

Grey Knights Chapter Master painting tutorial (step by step) - part two

Hi there,

Today I'll continue with my small tutorial about 'how to paint a Grey Knights Chapter Master'. This time I'll focus on the gold areas. Hopefully my tutorial will be helpful for you.

I've started with base made of Tin Bitz paint. I wanted that all skulls and ornaments which could be find on this model to be painted gold.

As a next step I've applied a Devlan Mud wash in the recesses.

Next I've started with highlighting applying Shining Gold paint.

In the upper section of each 'gold' element I've applied a thin watered down layer of a Shining Gold and Mithril Silver paints mixture. The last coat was made with pure Mithril Silver applied in the very edges.

So far, so good. Tomorrow I'll focus on areas on which a red paint will be apllied - psycannon, heraldy shield and =][= sign located on the chest. Looking at Redav's post I'll try to emulate his color scheme on my model. I recommend you to visit our blog tomorrow around 10 a.m. to see more.

Grey Knights Chapter Master painting tutorial (step by step) - part one

Hi there,

Today I would like to invite you to my next tutorial of a step by step painting. This time I'll paint from the start to the end a Grey Knights Chapter Master. Choosen miniature is a mixture of new plastic kit and a psycannon from the metal terminators. Everyday I'll show you new painting areas. Today it's the silver elements part.

I begun with undercoating the whole miniature with Chaos Black spray. When the spray dried I've applied a thin layer of Skull White sprayed horizontal.

Next I've applied a little bit watered down a Boltgun Metal paint on the whole armour.

Next a watered down Asurmen Blue wash was applied on the whole armour area.

Next I've applied a Badab Black wash.

After last wash dried and after looking at the first picture from above I've started to highlight areas with watered down Chainmal paint. Mithril Silver paint was than applied on the very edges of silver armour.

And that's it for today. Tomorrow I'll show you how to paint gold elemets - ornaments, shoulder pads etc. So stay tuned for more.

Hi.

After finishing my last terminator I started working on 5 GK paladins. I glued them, made some bases and undercoated them. This time I will be painting in NMM so this will be a challenge but I hope it will suit those terminators well.

I promised you to post what colors I have used for my Brother Bethor Terminator so here you have them.

Silver Metalics:

- Boltgun Metal as base,

- then I made a heavy wash with Dabab Black,

- the next step was to correct some places with Boltgun Metal,

- first highlight was made with Chainmail,

- and the final one was made using Mithril Silver.

- then I have done some shading to direct the reflected light and make some contrast and for this I used glazes of: Dabab Black Wash, Asurmen Blue Wash and a glaze I made from Vallejo Heavy Violet.

Golden Metalics:

- Tin Bitz as base color,

- Dwarven Bronze as first highlight,

- Shining Gold as next highlight,

- at this stage I made a Delvian Mud wash and a Hawk Turquoise wash only in some places,

- next was a highlight with Burnished Gold,

- for final highlights I used Mithril Silver.

Red weapon, shields and seals ware made using:

- Macharite Red as base color,

- for shadows I used a 1:1 mix of Macharite Red and Regal Blue,

- then I highlighted it to Blood Red,

- the next step was a highlight using a 1:1 mix of Bleched Bone and Blood Red,

- at this stage I glazed the last highlight with blood red so it looked as strong and clear Blood Red,

- and the final highlight was made using the same Bleched Bone/Blood Red mix but only on the edges,

The face was painted using:

- Talran Flesh as base,

- then I shaded it with a mix of Talaran Flesh/Blood Red/Regal Blue (1:1:1).

- the first highlight was made using a Talran Flesh/Elf Flesh mix,

- the second highlight was made using a mix of Elf Flesh and Bleched Bone,

- the next highlight was made using Bleched Bone,

- and for the final highlight I used Skull White.

Blue Energy hammer and some other additions ware made using:

- Necron Abyss as base,

- then I highlighted it to Enchanted blue,

- the next highlight was made using a mix of Enchanted Blue and Skull White,

- and the final highlight was made using Skull White.

Paper stuff :

- A mix of Khemri Brown and regal blue (2:1) as base,

- next was a highlight of Khemri Brown,

- the second highlight was Deheb Stone,

- next was a mix of Bleched Bone and Deheb Stone,

- and for the final highlight I used Skull White.

And that is all :D

Painting a Grey Knight Terminator - Silver Metallics

Hi,

This step was experimental for me because for two years I painted mainly NMM and this was my first serious try to paint metallics. So here you have what I was able to do.

I experimented with some shading and directing the shining properties of metallic paints. You can do it by shading selected areas with some washes and in those places the metallic paint will lose its shine and will be darker.

As for the paints I used:

- Boltgun Metal as base,

- then I made a heavy wash with Dabab Black,

- the next step was to correct some places with Boltgun Metal,

- first highlight was made with Chainmail,

- and the final one was made using Mithril Silver.

I've decided to paint a GK Chapter Master assebled from the new plastic kit and a psycannon from old metal GK terminator. I couldn't show you this picture yesterday because I was unable to locate my super glue. I don't have a bloody idea about a base for him. Right now I've got two ideas: snow and ice covered base and urban base. I'm going to collect and paint a GK army so this will be a seriuos choice for me. While painting I'll make some pictures, so maybe someone could use my ideas on his/her models. I'll begin painting this little plastic guy on Wednesday, so expect some pictures ;)

Grey Knights competition 2011 plus some pictures

Hi,

Hopefully you have started painting a Grey Knight terminator for our small international painting competition. My brothers didn't write anything about the offcial begining. Yes, on 8th April the Brush Brothers Grey Knight competition have started. You got time till the end of April to paint exactly one terminator with base. Please check rules for our competition clicking here.

As for me... due to my lack of time I was unable to paint anything in the previous period. I've only began working on my Assault Squad... Somewhat lazy...
Have you seen the new Grey Knight plastic kits? What do you think about them? I've purchased a copy of GK codex and after reading I've decided to start second army. Orks will be the thrid one. As for the new plastic kits, I've opened terminators and regular gk marines. Very nice spures with lot of options and some nice ornaments and purity seals. I've already cleaned and assaebled six paladins / terminators. Below are my proposals for assembling.

Sixth one I didn't show you, because he's not ready yet. Today I'll finish the last element of it and take a picture of him. The mini which I'm writing about will be my Chapter Master.

Painting a Grey Knight Terminator - Assembly and some kit thoughts

Hi,

Last Saturday I got my Terminator for our competition and I wanted to paint him as soon as its possible. I decided that mine will have a thunder hammer and no helmet. I wanted him to have a dynamic and strong pose and here you can see how will he look like.

As for the grey Knight Terminator kit I think it has much potential and there are many possibilities of how to assemble your terminators. The best part are multiple options for weapons and many small details like books, purity seals and grenades which will add some personality to your models.

At this stage I glued the whole model and left the head unglued because it will be easier to paint it that way. Things to do before painting are: pining and drilling some holes in that storm bolter.

Hi,

I took me some time to finish this squad and I wanted to paint them on the same level as my Jet Bikers. I can say that it was a challenge for me bacause its not so simple to paint 10 models at once and not get bored painting. Here you have a photo o the finished squad with a Scater Laser weapon platform.

The next project on my workbench will be a Grey Knight Terminator for our Competition and I will make a step by step tutorial how to pain one so stay tuned for more.

Blood Angels Stormraven Gunship finally finished

Hello world,

I wasn't able to write anything in couple of days due to my tasks in my work. This week I've finally finished my Stormraven Gunship. Today it was first day when it officially made some noise on the battlefield. It took me more time than I was expecting. A massive kit and I'm not as fast as Loler. So please forgive me my slow painting skills.

As for the Dreadnought tutorials, I'll expand and continue them in near future. I just wanted to paint my three little plastic guys from assault, make some pictures and start painting other models. TO finish them I need around one week.

So far it's all from me. Remember that from 8th April we're starting with Grey Knight painting competition. I recommend to try your skills with it.

Starting own business

We are preparing ourselves to start our own little internet-shop with models sculpted by us. Everyone has been preparing for that since some time and we almost finished (1 model per brother + little bonus from Loler). Now we have little break for painting competition, but I think that in a month we will be ready.

Eldar Guardian Defenders - WIP

It has been a long time since I posted something, but now I started to paint my Eldar Guardians. I wanted them to my army so I changed the standard Biel Tan scheme and swapped white with grey. My goal is to paint them on the same level as my Jet Bikers and I hope they will look ok. Here you can see some photos of the progress I made so far.

On those guys I managed to paint some NMM's but there is still some work to be done.

And here it the rest of my 10 strong squad. As you can see I managed to paint the armor plates and their suits. The next step is to paint weapons and some small NMM details.

I will try to finish them and the weapon platform this week because the Grey Knight release date is close and I want to start working on my Terminator next week so I could make a step by step tutorial on him.

Dark Eldar Succubus

Hi. I started to paint a succubus. it's very early wip. The cast was really bad, with lots of defect, but after cleaning up and repairing, it turned out to be cool model in my opinion.cheers! loler
