MERRY CHRISTMASS!!!!!!

this time something a little different:)
I wanted to paint with my airbrush, not ona a mini, but on a paper:)
This is 50x70cm, so it's quite large:)
I must say that I really enjoyed it, and I plan to paint more frequently from now on

Dark Eldar Venom Transports - WIP

Hi,

I'm very determined to paint my Dark Eldar army because I feel bad to play with plastics that hold only on rubber bands or blue tac :P. This is my next step to complete this task and as you can see below I'm in the middle o completing three DE Venoms.

I want to paint this army on a level that is equal to Games Workshop's new models. I know that it looks simple but my goal is that this army will look good on the battlefield. As or now I managed to paint metallics, black parts and the drivers heads. Now I started to work on the red parts and you can see ho will they look like on the next photo.

I have much work to do on them but step by step I'm getting closer to finalizing this project. Thing let to paint are: Red parts, violet buttons and lenses, banners, gunners on the back and some freehand like on my Razorwing. I hope to finish them by the end of the month so lets hope that I can do this :P.

Andrea Miniatures Mila Kusanagi - Review

Hi,

As a brake from painting my Dark Eldar army I have bought a model that I wanted to paint from the day it was released. I always wanted to paint a larger scale model because I think it must be fun and ant should be very challenging for a miniature painter and my choice was a Mila Kusanagi model from Adrea miniatures Dark Nova range.

Here you can see the inside of this box.

As you can see the model is built of 5 parts and a base. The parts fit well together and the model has a very good cast and it had very small mold lines and sometimes I had problems with finding them.

The model has 65mm (1:32) and its big to paint so it will be quite a challenge for me but I have some ideas what to make with so much lat surfaces. Here you can see a size comparison with my fire Dragon Exarch model. 

 

I was surprised how much nice detail and had the face and many the whole model as you can see on the next photo. 

So overall in my opinion the kit is grate and I want to paint this model very much but for now I'm working on 3 Venoms for my Dark Eldar army and this lady must wait in line. And I can add that I will buy more Andrea models in future because this one is very nice.

One of my projects I did some time ago for competitions. It got bronze on Hussar 2012 diorama category and finalist in GD UK 2012 duel.

Highly inspired by the great movie Alien. I removed the additional pair of hands from the brood lord and changed the face to make it look more xenomorphish ;D
Had a lot of fun with this project.

REDAV's painting reactivation

Hi,

I'm back to active painting and I will post more projects here. For some time I haven't had time to paint because I have a small baby to care for. Recently I decided to paint during the night because its the only time of the day I can paint. Gimiak gave me a link to a very useful review of a desk working lamp. I decided to buy one for myself and I'm very happy with the end result. About a month ago using the spare scraps of time I had I managed to pain a Necron Overlord model just to stretch my rusty painting bones and here you have some photos.

An a couple days ago I managed to finish the first vehicle for my Dark Eldar Army.

I will paint mode Dark Eldar models in general but now I'm working on 3 Venoms for them.

I hope you like those models and I will post some more updates on my future projects.

All of us (Thebrushbrothers) had a little break from blogging recently. Fortunately, not from painting:) I have few works I haven't shown anywhere on the internet and I'll try to fix that in a few days:) Also, Redav have some new miniatures, I'm sure he's gonna share them with you:)

For now, I'll show you my recent work, another farseer painted by my, a commission work for a collector:)

This miniature won bronze in Master of Imagination 2012, single sci-fi category.
