Gimiak's SRG log - day 5: Cleaning and assembling

Hello,

Another two hours pass away with modelling. The main body is prepared for painting, which I will do tomorrow. Yesterday on the Games Workshop main website there was a cool post. I'll speak a little bit about it tomorrow before painting.

Gimiak's SRG log - day 4: Cleaning and assembling

Hi,

Yesterday I manage to clean more components then I've expected. I just didn't finish assembling them. I will do it today night, in breakes of painting Assault Squad. Before I was using Super Glue to... hm... glue elements, but the connection wasn't solid. Better option is to use a regular glue for plastic models, which could be purchased in every hobby shop.

Gimiak's SRG log - day 3: Cleaning and assembling

Hello,

Yesterday I could only work 2 hours on my Stormraven Gunship so I was able to clean and assemble only main 'body' of it. On the pictures on GW website and from the box SRG doesn't look so good as he is looking in real life. Very nice model. I'll try to work on it harder today and tomorrow night. Hopefully on Saturday I'll be able to start painting.

Gimiak's SRG log - day 2: Cleaning

Hi there,
So I choose to continue my way and prepare Stormraven Gunship. Yesterday, when I open the huge box from SRG I realised that cleaning this kit will take me a little bit longer then I've expected. This week I'll focus on cleaning, assembly and paint only on flayer in my dark red colors. I'll work on the second SRG when I finish the first one.

Four big frames in a box which is similar to batleforce boxes... A lot of elements and not so unusual manual. I think this is the complex vehicle I've ever work with. The first one will be a crucial run for assembling and painting. The next one will be easier. And I'm planning to paint at least three - two for BA and one for Grey Knights. Looking at painted SRG for Grey Knights I wanted to paint it again with a different aproach on colors. But with this one I'll work on March.

Speaking about Grey Knights, I'm very curious about the new codex. Maybe I'll think about new army (again) if the new models look fine and if they'll be in plastic.

IV Chest of Colors miniature echange model.

Hi,
Some time ago I decided to take part in Chest of Colors miniature exchange and I wanted to paint something cool for it. I painted my Halfling Bowman but when I showed him to my brother he wanted that miniature and I fulfilled his wish. Having no ideas of what to paint for the exchange I looked in my bits box and found an old Warzone Head Hunter model that I bought from Gimiak a few years back. I wanted to paint this one and show that Warzone models can look good and interesting so here you have him.

I hope you like this one.

RED

Gimiak's log - day 1: New minis arrive

Hi there.

Yes, yes, yess... Today, few days before offical release, I put my hands on new plastic Dreadnought and Stormraven. Both models, I mean sprues, look awesome! It is tempting me to start cleaning Death Company Dreadnought. Today in the afternoon I'll decided what to paint. Looking at my 'free time' I must say that two Stormravens will be too much for me, so if I'll choose it I'll paint only one model. It's huge god damn it!

Additionally I manage to paint further my assault squad - three guys are almost complete.

Before I start with new mini - SRG or DC Dread - I will finish them completly. I was also working on my boar boyz, but till the end of my creation I will not provide here any wip pics of them. ;)
Regards,
