Finished project - 13 Necron Warriors

Hi,

It's about time to post something on our blog. Hot temperature (more over 36 Celsius degrees)  didn't help while painting. I've manage to paint my last batch of the Necron Warriors to Necron army. It was my second attempt on so huge group of the same models... The light is near. Till the end of the project I've to paint 'only':
- three Annihilation Barges
- ten Immrtals with Tesla carbines
- eight hereos from hq section.
Only 21 models. In the upcoming week I'll focus all my attention on Kommandos Nob, which I've started last month. I'll also prepare three Barges. Below you can find few pics from warriors pack. Please forgive me low quality of the pics, but they were taken with iPhone.

My next project: 13 Necron Warriors.

Tranzyt and Nemesor - wip pics 1.1

Hello,

Please find attached below necron hereos few work in progress pics. At the beginning I was considering to paint Tranyt's coat on the back side with silvers. I've done it but the next day I found him very monotous. I've thinking about sinergy with the front side. Therefore I've decided to repaint it with Sotek Green paint. "Scales" was shaded with black and highlighted with Space Wolves Grey mixed with Temple Guard Blue. I've also apply red paint on the eyes section.

As for the Nemesor, greys were painted with Administratum Grey paint. Shading will be made with watered down black paint.

So far that's it. In the upcoming weekend I'll be working on those guys very hard. Another bunch of Necron Warriors are waiting for the painting. Thanks for watching.

Hi,
Today I would like to share wth you with wip pics of the two mentioned in the title Necron Lords. As mention earlier these guys will share some of the elements of the original painting. I've already worked on the silver and gold parts. So far only golden parts are finished. Today and tomorrow I'll work on silvers. Sinister look is my aim.

Quality Matters

Hi,

It will take me some time to clean and prepare Necron hereos. Below you can see 'progress' of the two (from three) models, on which I've applied a lot of liquid green stuff. I must admit that I'm "happy" having these models in Finecast. Quality matters. Actually looking at my entire collection these models have the worse quality of all of my models. Rest of the necron hereos look much more better. As for the big plan, I'm hoping to finish cleaning these guys today. As for the painting scheme I'll use as a basis the original ones. Stay tuned for more.

Painted Necron Warriors

Hi,

It took me a long time to finish these guys but I've finally made it. Not one, not two but 14 Necron Warriors are painted to the table top standard. Adding these pics to the blog I've realised that I've forgoten to add leakse here and there. I'll do this tomorrow. Looking at the whole army I've painted so far 65 models, only 35 more to the end (13 Warriors, 10 Immortals with tesla, 3 barges and heroes). Not so bad. ;) 14 models at-once was my first attempt with more models then 10. Actually it wasn't a good idea. At the end I was bored. For that reason my next aim is to paint three lords: Trazyn the Infinite, Nemesor Zahndrekh, Anrakyr the Traveller. Models are cleaned and waiting for assembly and refilling holes with liquid green stuff. Failcast quality of two of them is really bad. Expect more pics in near future.

I've also repaint on of the blade elements on my Vargard Obyron. There was a gold element near the sphere. I thought that silver will suit better. Hope you like it.

Now I'm going back to the necronish tomb. Till next time.

Vargard Obyron

Hi,

Today I want to share with you with my recently painted model. Actually it's the 51 Necron model painted for the gaming purpose. Only 49 left till summer holidays. ;) Anyway, I wanted to keep some of the original GW painting scheme and change few colors here and there. All of my legendary heroes will share a mix of original GW's painting scheme. I just didn't want to paint all the models... blue. As for this little guy, my aim was to create a more sinister and darker version of the Vargard Obyron. It was an good example for me and my painting skills. I wanted to try again blending (grey elements) and silver shading.

For the couple of weeks I've been cleaning, assembling and painting Necron Warriors, so you can expect that in around one week I'll share with you with my army's troops. Right now I'm painting first batch of the Necron Warriors - 14 models.

Till next time.

Gimiak's Necrons army - part 3

Welcome back to to Necrons outpost.

Today I'm sharing with you my last part of painted models for gaming purpose. So far it's only 50% of the whole army. I must admit that painting Necrons is a pleasure. Even the little guys. Scarabs are made with resin. I've only 5 bases of the plastic ones.

When the next batch of Necron models will be painted I'll share them on the blog.
