Painted model: Snikrot

Hello World! Today I would like to share with you with my next completed project. Snikrot. Damn! This miniature is one of my favorite ork miniature ever. He's sneaky, cold blooded and has a cool mask. Hopefully you like it. The last pic is a family portret. Beside Head Honcho and Stone Troll I'll try myself with Horus in near future. Stay tuned. New Savage Orcs in March 2011

Hi,

Me again. Last week GW annouced new models for Orcs and Goblins Warhammer Fantasy Battle. I heard rumors about new Savage Orcs, but what I saw last week was... Ehm... New models look very elegant and well doned. They look so cool that I'll use them in WH40K as a regular boyz. Of course all depend on the sprue options but looking at the faces and poses I really want to 'hire' them for my 'feral orks warband'.

As for the Savage Orcs Boar Boyz... Damn! Another addition to my warboar mob. New boars look very wild and nice. In a break of painting Blood Angels I'll prepare and show to you my secret project. It want be neither BA and neither Orks project. When I look at the new boars in my mind came an idea... You have to by patient, you might be suprised.

The last model on which I would like to speak a little bit is Great Shaman on Boar. Another excelent model from the new range. A great example of a Painboy. Yes, yes. I will use him as a Nob Painboy. I'm really happy that I didn't purchase the former Shaman, because with this one I'll be able to make good conversions.

Further work on Feral Orks

Hi there,

From the begining of this week I have an earache, so after work I didn't have energy left to paint or even clean / model my Feral Orks. Until yesterday. I search throught my bitz box for some 'ideas', which could be applied on my boars. I take Flamer tank from Cadian Shock Troops and glued to the boar. Today I will scratch off skulls from it and put some ork glymphs created from plasticard. On the other side I glued twin-linked dakka guns, as described in codex. These boars will not have symmetry, but for me that's not a problem. Now what's bothers me is the exhausts. I have to put them somehow different and find a better idea than my first thoughts. I'll also give these animals some pipes here and there, just to create an image that this animal is well connected with eachother.

After weekend thoughts - where the hell is my head?

Hi,

This was a good weekend for my hobby. I spend around 7 - 8 hours on painting my assault squads. I almost complete bodies and bases. As my motivation drop down after preparing shades for six of them I've decided to paint only three models at once. And it was a good decision. I'll come back to them on Wednesday.

Additionally I manage some time to come back to my small ork warband. From the first fifth of boar riders I've cleaned and glued three of them. I've also search and try to adopt some ideas on how this wild guys should look like in 40th Millenium. I gave one of the boars engine exhausts from bikers, but IMHO it doesn't look cool and ork'ish. So this one model will be an experimental pig... I mean boar. ;)
